A relaxed three-night Gangtok city stay with Kanchenjunga views and a chance at the Yumthang Valley of Flowers.
Available all year - pick any travel date that suits you.
Why Sikkim
Sikkim is one of India's smallest and most beautiful states — a vertical landscape that rises from subtropical river valleys to glaciers above 5,000 metres in under 100 kilometres. Monasteries cling to ridgelines, prayer flags snap in the wind above alpine lakes, and Kanchenjunga — the world's third-highest mountain — watches over it all. This itinerary brings together the best of this extraordinary destination.
What This Package Covers
This 3-night, 4-day journey covers — Gangtok. The itinerary is paced to allow genuine engagement with each location rather than a hurried check-in and check-out. Gangtok anchors the route, with high-altitude drives into North Sikkim and cultural detours in West Sikkim and Darjeeling woven in according to the schedule. Meals included: Breakfast.
Key Experiences
North Sikkim's Gurudongmar Lake, at 5,183 metres, is one of the highest lakes in the world — a site sacred to both Sikhs and Buddhists, surrounded by glacier-scraped moraine and 360-degree Himalayan views. Yumthang Valley's wildflower meadows are equally arresting, particularly during the spring rhododendron bloom.
Accommodation & Meals
All stays are in 4 Star hotels selected for cleanliness, warmth, and location relative to the day's activities. Daily breakfast is included at each hotel, fuelling your mornings before the day's excursions.
Secure Your Place in Sikkim
Inner Line Permits for North Sikkim, all hotel bookings, and every road transfer are arranged on your behalf. Travel in one of India's most rewarding but logistically complex states is made seamless. Book your preferred departure date before availability closes.
Trip Highlights
4 Star accommodation at hand-picked properties
Breakfast included throughout the journey
Close-range views of Kanchenjunga, the world's third-highest peak
Sacred Gurudongmar Lake at over 5,000 metres altitude
Valley of Flowers at Yumthang in peak rhododendron season
Day 1: Arrival in Gangtok
Arrive in Gangtok by road from Bagdogra/NJP and check in to your hotel. Spend the evening on MG Marg — the pedestrian spine of the city — browsing cafés and shops, with the monastery-dotted ridges of Sikkim rising on all sides.
Day 2: Gangtok Sightseeing
Visit Rumtek Monastery, the seat of the Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism, 24 km from Gangtok, then Tsomgo (Changu) Lake at 12,400 feet — a glacial lake that reflects the surrounding peaks. Nathu La Pass on the Indo-China border, subject to permit availability, extends the high-altitude drive.
Day 3: North Sikkim — Lachen
Drive north through the Teesta Valley to Lachen village (2,750 m), passing through forests of alder, birch, and fir. The roadside river gorges grow deeper as you climb. Overnight in Lachen prepares you for the early-morning drive to Gurudongmar.
Day 4: Gurudongmar Lake
Depart at dawn for Gurudongmar Lake at 5,183 metres — one of the highest lakes in the world. The landscape is stark, glaciated, and profoundly still. Return to Lachen for lunch, then drive south to Lachung for the night.
