Avantipura's ruins near Pahalgam set the first scene on this four-night route, which then climbs to Gulmarg's gondola and closes among Srinagar's Mughal gardens and Dal Lake houseboats. Leading with the Lidder-side base reverses the usual order, putting the riverside trekking country at the front of the trip.

Reading The Route

The Lidder-side valleys and Avantipura's carved ruins fill the Pahalgam days, then Gulmarg's cable car lifts toward Kongdori over open meadow. Srinagar's Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Garden and Cheshma Shahi line up a garden morning beside a Dal Lake houseboat, with the old-city bazaars and a shikara glide rounding out the final lakeside nights.
