Six-night Sikkim trip using a four-night Gangtok base for short hops to Lachen and Lachung in the north.

Gurudongmar Lake and the Yumthang valley pull this six-night route north from Gangtok into Lachen and Lachung, skipping the western tea towns for the high alpine bowls. Kanchenjunga views, the Chopta valley and some of Sikkim's highest motorable passes shape a trip built around altitude and snow-fed country.

Into North Sikkim

Gangtok's four nights cover Changu Lake, the Baba Mandir, the Do Drul Chorten and the Namgyal Institute. Lachen reaches Gurudongmar Lake and the Chopta valley, while Lachung opens the Yumthang valley, its hot spring and the Bhim Nala falls before the road drops back toward the capital, each leg crossing some of the state's highest passes on the way.

Stays And Meals

Three-star hotels cover all six nights, with breakfast and dinner included daily. Half-board covers breakfast and dinner, leaving lunches free on the road. Mountain weather can shift the order of the high-altitude legs. Each town keeps its own pace before the next drive.
