Day 1: Phuentsholing | Arrival & Check-in

Arrive at Phuentsholing on the India-Bhutan border, complete permit formalities and check in for the night.

Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu | Drive

Drive up to the capital Thimphu along the Wang Chhu river and check in for the stay.

Day 3: Thimphu | Tashichho Dzong

Visit Tashichho Dzong, the fortress that houses Bhutan's seat of government, on arrival in the capital.

Day 4: Thimphu | Chorten and Buddha Dordenma

Cover the National Memorial Chorten, the giant Buddha Dordenma, the Textile Museum, Simply Bhutan and the Zorig Chusum arts institute.

Day 5: Punakha | Chimi Lhakhang & Suspension Bridge

Walk through paddy fields to Chimi Lhakhang and cross the Punakha suspension bridge over the river.

Day 6: Punakha | Dzong and Dochula Pass

Drive over the Dochula Pass to Chimi Lhakhang and the riverside Punakha Dzong.

Day 7: Paro | Dzong and National Museum

Tour Ringpung Dzong and the National Museum of Bhutan in Paro.

Day 8: Paro | Tiger's Nest Trek

Trek up to Taktsang Monastery, the Tiger's Nest, and visit Kyichu Lhakhang.

Day 9: Paro to Phuentsholing | Departure

Drive back down to Phuentsholing and the border for your onward journey home.
