    Rishikesh to Haridwar Day Trip

After breakfast at the hotel in Rishikesh, proceed for a day trip to Haridwar, one of the most sacred cities in India.

Begin your visit with the famous Mansa Devi Temple, one of the most popular temples in Haridwar dedicated to Goddess Mata Mansa Devi. The temple is located on Bilwa Parvat and is visited by thousands of devotees who come to seek blessings and fulfill their wishes.

Later, visit the sacred Har Ki Pauri, the most prominent ghat in Haridwar. The literal meaning of Har Ki Pauri is ‘Har’ meaning Lord Shiva, ‘Ki’ meaning ‘of’, and ‘Pauri’ meaning ‘steps.’ It is considered highly auspicious as this is the point where the Ganga River leaves the mountain terrains and enters the plains. Devotees from across the country gather here to attend the darshan and witness the spiritual atmosphere.

You can experience the evening Aarti from different vantage points. Visitors may cross the bridge to the opposite side of the ghat for a clear view, hire a boat to watch the ceremony comfortably from the river, or even enjoy the Aarti from hotel balconies near Har Ki Pauri. The nearby Harki Gauri Ghats also offer an excellent viewing point where the ceremony can be seen without obstruction from across the main ghat.
