    Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by the office personnel or driver holding a placard. Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, is the center of the country’s history, art, culture, and economy, with a multiethnic population within a predominantly Hindu and Buddhist society.

You will then drive to your hotel and check in. The rest of the evening is at leisure, allowing you to explore local shopping, visit casinos, or enjoy local Nepali folk dances.

    Kathmandu

After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, covering Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, and Swayambhunath Stupa. The duration of sightseeing will be approximately 7 hours.

Your first stop is Pashupatinath Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The main temple is built in Nepalese Pagoda-style architecture, featuring four silver-covered doors. At the center is the main idol, which only four priests are permitted to touch. Witnessing the cremation ceremonies at Pashupatinath provides a spiritual experience where the individual’s essence is released for rebirth.

Next, visit Boudhanath Stupa, standing over 120 feet tall and among the tallest stupas in Asia. It is the heart of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. Each side of the rectangular top of the stupa features a pair of eyes, symbolizing the awareness of Lord Buddha over all people.

Then, proceed to Patan Durbar Square in Patan City, also known as Lalitpur, “The Beautiful City.” Once home to kings in luxurious palaces, the city features the Ashoka Stupa, with its enigmatic painted eyes, and Mahabuddha, the Temple of the Thousand Buddhas, adorned with terracotta Buddhist representations.

The day concludes with a visit to Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the architectural gems of Kathmandu Valley. Its structure is highly symbolic: the white dome represents the earth, while the 13-tiered tower at the top signifies the 13 stages to nirvana.

After completing sightseeing, drive back to your hotel.
