Arrive at Bangalore Airport, meet the assistance, and proceed to Mysore (approximately 3 hrs 26 min – 144 km). Enroute, visit Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, also known as Dariya Daulat Bagh, meaning “wealth of the sea.” This palace, the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan, was often called the ‘Abode of Happiness’ and ‘Envy of Heaven’ by the constructor. Built on a raised stone platform with teak pillars and artistic interiors, it was started by Hyder Ali Khan in 1778 and completed by Tipu Sultan in 1784 AD. Enroute, visit Mysore Palace, completed in 1912 and known for its magnificent Indo-Saracenic architecture, blending Hindu, Islamic, Rajput, and Gothic styles.
