This 8 Nights / 9 Days tour with TheKangarooTravels takes you through some of the most scenic and diverse regions of Uttarakhand — combining the charm of Garhwal hill stations, the serenity of Kumaon lakes, the holy vibes of Rishikesh/Haridwar, and finally the wilderness of Corbett National Park.

You begin your journey in Mussoorie, the Queen of Hills in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas, spending 2 nights exploring its famous attractions like Mall Road, Kempty Falls, Gun Hill, Lal Tibba, Lake Mussoorie, and Bhatta Falls.

Next, you travel to Rishikesh / Haridwar for 2 nights, where you can experience spiritual highlights such as Harki Pauri and Mansa Devi Temple, enjoy the holy Ganges, and explore the local culture.

The trip then takes you into the dense forests of Jim Corbett National Park for 2 nights, where you have the option to enjoy safaris through various wildlife zones and visit the scenic Garjiya Devi Temple beside the Kosi River.

    Today, arrive at Dehradun and transfer to Mussoorie, famously known as the “Queen of Hills”. Nestled in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan Range, Mussoorie is a charming hill station in Dehradun district, offering breathtaking views, pleasant weather, and vibrant hill-town culture. The nearby town of Landour, an army cantonment, forms part of greater Mussoorie along with the townships of Jharipani and Barlowganj, adding historical and cultural charm to the region.

    On arrival, check in at your hotel and later explore Mall Road, the bustling center of Mussoorie, known for its shopping, local handicrafts, cafes, and scenic promenade. Spend the evening enjoying the local atmosphere and mountain views.

    After breakfast, check out from Mussoorie and transfer to Haridwar. On arrival, check in at your hotel and get ready to explore the spiritual side of Uttarakhand.

    Visit Mansa Devi Temple, one of Haridwar’s most popular temples, dedicated to Goddess Mansa Devi. The temple is located atop Bilwa Parvat and attracts devotees from all over India.

    In the evening, experience the famous Har Ki Pauri for the Ganga Aarti, a spiritually enriching ceremony. The name Har Ki Pauri literally means “Steps of Lord Shiva,” and it marks the point where the Ganga River exits the mountains and enters the plains. Visitors can witness the aarti from multiple vantage points, including Har Ki Gauri Ghats or by crossing the bridge to the opposite side of the ghat.     Visit Ram Jhula, a famous iron suspension bridge located at Muni-Ki-Reti, connecting Shivanand Ashram on the east bank to Swargashram on the west bank. Originally a hanging jute ropeway, it was replaced with a permanent iron suspension bridge in 1980 with the support of Shivananda Ashram.     After breakfast, check out from Haridwar / Rishikesh and transfer to Jim Corbett National Park, a part of the larger Corbett Tiger Reserve in the Nainital district. On arrival, check in at the hotel and, if interested, you may go for a safari on a direct payment basis to explore the rich wildlife and natural beauty of the park.

    Corbett National Park is famed for its tiger population and magical landscapes of hills, rivers, grasslands, and forests. Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park, it is India’s oldest national park and played a pivotal role in the launch of Project Tiger in 1973, aimed at protecting the endangered Royal Bengal Tigers.

    Corbett

    Today is dedicated to a safari at your own cost in Jim Corbett National Park, part of the larger Corbett Tiger Reserve in Nainital district. Renowned for its tiger population and magical landscapes, the park was established in 1936 as Hailey National Park and is India’s oldest national park. In 1973, it became the birthplace of Project Tiger, aimed at protecting the endangered Royal Bengal Tigers.

    Visitors can explore the buffer and core zones of the park through two types of safaris:

    • Jeep Safari: A popular choice for accessing all buffer zones, ideal for exploring hidden corners of the park.
    • Canter Safari: Available only for guests staying in the Dhikala zone, covering areas with higher tiger density, conducted in two shifts by forest officials.

    After the safari, return to the hotel and freshen up. Enjoy a nature walk along the Kosi River, a paradise for bird watchers. The evening is free for leisure and relaxation.

    Corbett – Nainital/Bhimtal (Approx. 60 Kms / 2 Hrs)

    After breakfast, check out of Jim Corbett National Park and transfer to Nainital. On arrival, check in at your hotel and prepare for an afternoon of sightseeing.

    Visit Sat Tal (optional, at your own cost), located in the Lower Himalayan Range near Bhimtal, and explore the serene cluster of seven interconnected lakes. Continue to Naukuchiatal (optional, at your own cost), also known as the Lake of Nine Corners, offering a tranquil environment and boating opportunities.

    Next, visit Bhimtal Lake, a scenic lake in Bhimtal town, and the Nainital Zoo, a high-altitude zoo situated at 2,100 meters above sea level, home to species such as Tibetan wolves, leopard cats, Sambar, Lady Amherst pheasants, red junglefowl, and rose-ringed parakeets.

    Nainital

    After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time at the resort before heading out for a day of sightseeing in Nainital.

    Start with Tiffin Top, a beautiful peak located just 4 km from the heart of Nainital, offering breathtaking panoramic views. You can also enjoy a horse ride to reach the top.

    Next, take the Nainital Ropeway, which takes you to small peaks and provides a bird’s-eye view of the hill station. The cable car runs from Mallital to Snow View, making it a must-try for scenic lovers.

    Visit the Naina Devi Temple, dedicated to Goddess Naina Devi, believed to govern Naini Lake and considered one of the 64 Shakti Peeths in India. Spend some quiet, refreshing moments here.

    Proceed to Raj Bhawan, the Nainital Governor’s House, reminiscent of Buckingham Palace. The two-storey mansion contains 113 rooms, but visitors can enjoy the vast lawns and the 18-hole golf course within the premises.

    End the day at Naini Lake, where you can enjoy a peaceful boat ride (30 minutes to 1 hour per family) and take in the stunning surroundings of the lake and hills.

    After breakfast, check out from Nainital and start your journey back to New Delhi to catch your connecting flight or train for your hometown.
