The temple is renowned for its serene atmosphere and spiritual significance.

In the evening, head to Har Ki Pauri to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti, a ritual that draws devotees from across the country. Har Ki Pauri, which literally means “Steps of Lord Shiva,” is famous as the point where the Ganga River exits the mountain terrains and enters the plains. Haridwar - Rishikesh

Start your day from Haridwar and proceed to Rishikesh. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and get ready to explore the spiritual and cultural landmarks of the city. Begin with a visit to Ram Jhula, a beautiful iron suspension bridge located at Muni-Ki-Reti, just two kilometres from Rishikesh. Ram Jhula connects the Shivanand Ashram on the east bank with Swargashram on the west bank. Originally a hanging jute ropeway, it was replaced in 1980 with the permanent iron suspension bridge built with the help of PWD and Shivananda Ashram. The area is often bustling with saints, sages, and devotees and is home to attractions such as Parmarth Niketan, Geeta Bhawan, Swargashram, Yog Niketan, and the Beatles Ashram. Food lovers can also enjoy nearby food courts.

Next, visit Laxman Jhula, another iconic hanging iron bridge over the River Ganga, built by the British in 1929. This site is closely connected to the pilgrimage of Lord Rama in the Himalayas. Laxman Jhula features the Laxman Temple and a lively tourist market offering handicrafts, precious and semi-precious stones, gems, clothes, Nehru jackets, kurtas, sarees, and Ayurvedic medicines, creating a vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of a European street market.
