This is a 9 Nights / 10 Days private van tour that takes you through the major attractions of Jammu and Kashmir, starting from Katra in Jammu and ending in Srinagar in the Kashmir Valley. You begin your journey in Katra, exploring the spiritual Mata Vaishno Devi Temple and experiencing the serene town life before heading to Patnitop for scenic hill views. From Patnitop, you travel deeper into Kashmir to Pahalgam, where you enjoy lush valleys, meadows, and excursions to Aru Valley, Chandanwari and the famous Pampore Saffron Fields known for its saffron cultivation. Next, the itinerary heads to Gulmarg, a picturesque meadow town surrounded by snow‑clad mountains, followed by Srinagar, the heart of Kashmir, where you enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake and visit iconic gardens like Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, Chashma Shahi, Hazratbal Shrine and explore famous local sites.     01

    Jammu – Katra (45 Kms / Approx. 1 – 1.5 Hrs Drive)

    On arrival at Jammu (City of Temples), drive to Katra, which is approximately 45 kms and takes around 1 to 1.5 hours. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. Katra serves as the base camp for visiting the famous shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.

    Katra

    After breakfast, proceed for darshan at the holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, one of the most popular pilgrimages in India. The shrine is situated in the lap of the Trikuta Mountains, across Katra town, at an altitude of 5,200 feet. The trek to the shrine is approximately 12 kms from Katra. Devotees can also opt for a helicopter service from Katra, which takes about 8 minutes one way. Alternate options to perform darshan include ponies, palkis, or half-way battery car services. After darshan, return back to Katra. If time permits, visit Bhairon Temple. The rest of the day is at leisure.

    Katra – Patnitop (85–95 Kms / Approx. 3–4 Hrs Drive)

    After breakfast, proceed from Katra to Patnitop, a famous hill resort located approximately 85–95 kms away, taking around 3–4 hours by road. Patnitop is perched on a beautiful plateau at an altitude of 2024 metres, through which the Jammu–Srinagar Highway passes. On arrival, explore the famous Nag Temple, Padora Enclave, and Patnitop Park. If time permits, proceed to Sanasar, a cup-shaped meadow surrounded by gigantic conifers. En route, visit Nathatop, another well-known tourist point. The rest of the day is free for personal activities.

    04

    Patnitop - Pahalgam (180 kms approx 6 hrs )

    After breakfast, drive from Patnitop to Pahalgam, covering approximately 180–200 kms in about 5 to 6 hours. En route, pass through the Chenani Nashri Tunnel, Ramban, Batote, and the Banihal Tunnel. Continue the scenic drive and arrive in Pahalgam, followed by transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

    Pahalgam, known as the Valley of Shepherds, is an idyllic resort situated on the banks of the Lidder River and Sheshnag. It serves as a base for several treks in the region and for the annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath Cave Shrine. The surroundings are peaceful and ideal for relaxation, offering the true charm of a traditional hill resort.

    05

    Pahalgam

    After breakfast, proceed for a visit to Aru Valley, known for its scenic meadows and peaceful environment. The village serves as a base camp for trekkers heading towards the Kolahoi Glacier. Thereafter, visit Betaab Valley, which got its name from the film Betab. The valley is surrounded by lush green meadows, snow-clad mountains, and dense forests. Continue to Chandanwari, the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra. Later, drive back to Pahalgam.

    In the afternoon, one can visit Baisaran Valley by pony on direct payment. It is a large grassy meadow with small rolling hills and is an eye-catching spot. It also serves as an ideal campsite for trekkers planning to move further towards Tulian Lake.

    06

    Pahalgam - Gulmarg (150 kms approx 4 hrs )

    After breakfast, drive from Pahalgam to Gulmarg, covering approximately 150 kms in about 4 hours. En route, visit Mattan Temple and pass through Pampore, famous for its saffron fields. Also visit a cricket bat factory and apple orchards gardens along the way. Continue the drive and on arrival, transfer to the hotel.

    Gulmarg, known as the Meadow of Flowers, is situated at a height of 8,800 feet above sea level. It is known for its natural beauty, resembling a doll’s village. Gulmarg was a favorite summer retreat of the British, and you can still see old-fashioned hotels and shops in the village. It has the highest 18-hole golf course in the world and has developed into a ski resort during winter.

    After lunch, take a Gondola ride (at your own cost) high above the meadows and snow-covered slopes of Apharwat Peak and Khilanmarg, which provide a playground for skiing. Pony rides and skating are also available as optional activities. The rest of the day is at leisure.

    Gulmarg - Srinagar (55 kms approx 1.5 hrs )

    After breakfast, drive from Gulmarg to Srinagar, covering approximately 55–56 kms in about 1.5 hours. On arrival, transfer to your hotel or houseboat.

    In the afternoon, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake (on direct payment). The cruise will pass through narrow canals and the backwaters of the lake, visiting floating gardens, lotus gardens, and vegetable gardens. You will also visit local handicraft centres specializing in paper mâché and wood carving work.

    Day trip to Sonamarg (80 kms approx 2.5 hrs)

    After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, located approximately 80–86 kms from Srinagar. On the way, enjoy the scenic beauty of the Sind Valley. Sonamarg, known as the Meadow of Gold, is situated at a height of 2,690 metres above sea level. The blooming valley has been shaped over the ages by the mighty Indus River. Major trekking routes begin from here, and the two lakes—Gadsar and Satsar—lie on the periphery of Sonamarg. The well-metalled road winds through massive mountains covered with firs and forests, offering breathtaking views.

    On arrival, visit Thajiwas Glacier, where snow remains throughout the year. Later in the afternoon, return to Srinagar.

    Srinagar

    After breakfast, proceed for a full-day local sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit the sacred Shankaracharya Temple, followed by the famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure) overlooking the crystal-clear emerald waters of Dal Lake, and Shalimar Bagh (Garden of Love). Each garden is more beautiful than the one visited before. Walk along the terraced flower beds, past splashing fountains and marble pavilions, with snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas in the backdrop. Also visit Chashma Shahi (Royal Spring). If time permits, visit the revered Hazratbal Shrine. The rest of the day is free for personal activities and shopping.

  • When there is snow on the roads , the common car cannot go up to Gulmarg town due to snow so a snow car ( chain car ) needs to be hired by guest (at optional cost) to reach to the hotel.
  • This optional cost has to be paid by the guest directly to the driver. We do not include this cost in the tour because it depends on the weather at the time of travel.
  • In Kashmir there are places like Zero Point in Sonmarg , Gulmarg town , Drunk waterfall where union car needs to be hired .
  • This cost is not included in the tour cost because not everyone would opt for this places .
  • So if anyone is willing to go at such places than the cost of union car needs to be paid directly by the client to the driver.
