Next, you’ll head to Manali, a popular hill station nestled in the mountains.     On arrival at Delhi Airport, you will be met by our representative and assisted for your onward journey to Shimla. Set out on a scenic drive to Shimla – the land of pine-scented hills, beautiful Shali peaks, crisp winter skies, fragrant cedar forests, romantic mists, and golden hillsides. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you leave the plains behind and gradually ascend into the hills.

    Upon arrival in Shimla, check in at your hotel and relax after the long drive. The evening is at leisure.

    Shimla

    After breakfast, proceed for a full day of sightseeing around Shimla. Begin with a drive to Kufri Valley, located 16 kms from Shimla, known for its panoramic views of the majestic Himalayas and refreshing mountain air. Continue onwards to Naldehra (23 kms), set under a skyline engraved with tall conifers and famous for its well-maintained nine-hole golf course.

    In the evening, visit the popular Mall Road area and proceed to Jakhu Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, from where you can enjoy an excellent view of Shimla town and the surrounding hills. Later, visit the Viceregal Lodge, formerly the residence of the British Viceroy of India, which houses ancient articles and photographs dating back to the British era and once served as the seat of power. Also explore The Ridge and Christ Church, two of Shimla’s most prominent landmarks.

    Return to the hotel in the evening.

    Shimla - Manali - (8 HRS - 257 KMS)

    This morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your drive to Manali. The journey takes you through scenic mountain roads, offering beautiful views along the way. En route, stop at Kullu village and visit a local shawl factory, where you can see the traditional weaving process and explore the famous Kullu shawls.

    After the visit, continue your drive to Manali. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.

    Manali

    After breakfast, proceed for a full day of sightseeing in and around Manali. Begin with a visit to the Naggar Castle Art Gallery, a paradise for art lovers. The gallery showcases beautiful paintings and artwork, and the castle itself also functions as a heritage hotel, adding to its old-world charm.

    Next, visit the Hadimba Devi Temple, an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, the wife of Bhima from the Indian epic Mahabharata. Surrounded by tall cedar forests, the temple is known for its unique architecture and peaceful setting.

    Continue to the Tibetan Monastery (Manali Gompa), an ideal place to learn about Buddhist culture. The monastery is famous for its wall paintings, pagoda-style architecture, chortens, and serene spiritual atmosphere. The surrounding landscape further enhances its beauty.

    Later, visit Vashisht Temple, located just outside Manali across the River Beas, well known for its natural hot sulphur springs whose water is believed to have curative properties.

    In the afternoon, drive towards Kullu for river rafting on the Beas River, the major rafting spot in the region. Different private companies offer rafting activities with proper safety equipment and security. While rafting, you can also enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Alternatively, you may spend time exploring the Mall Road of Manali.

    Manali - Rohtang - Manali (2 HRS – 52 KMS)

    Early morning around 5:30 am, proceed for an excursion to Rohtang Pass (at personal cost through Union vehicle). Rohtang Pass is a high mountain pass located on the eastern Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, situated approximately 50 kms from Manali at an altitude of 3,978 meters. It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal Pradesh and further extends towards Ladakh.

    Spend time at Rohtang enjoying the breathtaking mountain views. You can indulge in photography, play in the snow, and enjoy hot Maggi and tea at the small stalls around.

    While returning to Manali, if time permits, stop at Solang Valley to enjoy adventure activities such as Paragliding and Zorbing (activities at own cost). The operation of these activities depends entirely on weather conditions.

    This morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your drive to Dalhousie. The journey is long but scenic, taking you through beautiful valleys and mountain landscapes.

    On arrival in Dalhousie, check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, you may enjoy some leisure time or take a stroll along the Mall Road. You can also visit Rang Mahal, home to the Himachal Emporium, where you can explore local handicrafts and traditional items.

    Dalhousie

    After breakfast, start a little early for a full-day sightseeing tour of Dalhousie and its nearby attractions. Begin with a visit to Khajjiar, a popular tourist spot known for its lush green meadows and scenic beauty. Often referred to as “Mini Switzerland,” Khajjiar is surrounded by a thick cover of deodar and pine trees with the snow-capped Himalayas forming a stunning backdrop. You can enjoy photography and opt for horse riding here (at additional cost).

    Continue to Dainkund Peak, also known as Singing Hill, one of the well-known viewpoints in Dalhousie. From here, you can enjoy refreshing views of green hills, valleys, and plains. The highlight of this spot is the charming sight of the three rivers — Chenab, Ravi, and Beas — flowing through the landscape below, enhancing the beauty of the region.

    Later, visit St. John’s Church, the oldest church in the town, known for its religious and historical significance. The stained-glass windows donated by Lady Elgin are the main attraction of the church.

    In the evening, spend some time at Mall Road before returning to the hotel.

    Dalhousie - Amritsar - (5 HRS – 200 KMS)

    This morning after breakfast, check out early from the hotel and drive to Amritsar. Founded in 1577, Amritsar is a historic and vibrant city known for its deep spiritual and cultural significance. It is home to one of the holiest Sikh shrines, the Golden Temple, as well as the nationally important memorial of Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum, which reflects the memories of the post-partition era. The city also boasts landmarks such as Gobindgarh Fort and Rambagh, both associated with Maharaja Ranjit Singh and counted among the jewels of Amritsar.

    On arrival, check in at the hotel and freshen up. Later, proceed to Attari Wagah Border, located approximately 31 kms from Amritsar, to witness the prestigious and awe-inspiring “Lowering of the Flags” ceremony held at sunset before the border gates are closed.

    After returning to the city, enjoy some free time for shopping and tasting the local delicacies of Amritsar.

    Amritsar

    After breakfast, proceed for a full day of sightseeing in Amritsar. Begin with a visit to the Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib, the holiest shrine of Sikhism. This architectural marvel is a part of a vast Gurudwara complex and stands on a rectangular platform surrounded by the sacred pool known as the Amrit Sarovar, from which the city derives its name. Every morning, the Guru Granth Sahib (the holy book of Sikhs) is ceremoniously placed inside the temple and returned at night to the Akal Takht, the temporal seat of the Khalsa brotherhood. With the support of Hukam Singh Chimni and Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the temple was adorned with stunning gold and marble work that continues to inspire visitors from around the world. The beauty of the Golden Temple is especially captivating during sunrise and after sunset when the shrine is illuminated.

    Within the complex, visit the Akal Takht, the highest seat of authority of the Khalsa. Any order issued from here is considered mandatory for Sikhs.

    Later, visit Jallianwala Bagh, a site of great historical importance that witnessed one of the most tragic events in Indian history on 13th April 1919. The walls still bear bullet marks and holes that silently narrate the story of the massacre. Information plaques throughout the park explain the historical significance of various spots.

    Continue to Ramgarh Palace, once the summer residence of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and now converted into a museum displaying royal arms and armour, paintings, manuscripts, and personal belongings of the king.

    Also visit Gobindgarh Fort, a symbol of Punjab with a remarkable history spanning over 257 years — from the era of the Bhangi Misl to Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the British East India Company, the Indian Army, and now the people of Punjab. This magnificent heritage site offers a glimpse into the grand stories and rich history of the past.
