    01

    Cochin

    Arrive in Kochi (formerly Cochin), a lively port city set along the south-west coast of India in the beautiful state of Kerala, fondly known as God’s Own Country. Often called the Gateway to Kerala, the city welcomes you with its charming blend of history, culture, and coastal beauty.

    On arrival, you will be received and assisted before being transferred to your hotel. Later, proceed to explore Fort Cochin, the historic heart of the city. Visit the Dutch Palace (closed on Friday), known for its impressive murals and royal artifacts. Continue to the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, unique shore-operated fishing structures that have become a symbol of Kochi’s waterfront.

    In the evening, you may choose to attend a traditional Kathakali performance at a local auditorium (optional, at additional cost). This classical dance-drama, which originated in Kerala, is considered one of the oldest theatre traditions in the world and is known for its elaborate costumes and expressive storytelling.

    Cochin - Munnar - (130 kms , 5hrs)

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Munnar, one of Kerala’s most beautiful hill stations. Once a favored summer retreat of the British, Munnar is known for its cool climate, rolling hills, and endless stretches of tea plantations.

    The drive itself is scenic, offering refreshing views of the Cardamom Hills, lush greenery, and mist-covered landscapes along the way. On arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to unwind. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and resort facilities.

    Munnar

    After breakfast, set out for a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar, exploring its scenic and natural attractions. Begin with a visit to Mattupetty Dam, where you may enjoy a boat ride at an additional cost. Continue to Eravikulam National Park (entry fees applicable as per actual), known for its rich wildlife and breathtaking hill views.

    Proceed to Echo Point and Kundala Lake, both offering beautiful surroundings and peaceful landscapes. You may also visit Top Station (optional, at additional cost) to witness panoramic views of the valleys and hills.

    Later, return to Munnar town. After lunch on your own, visit the Tea Museum and stroll through the lush Tea Gardens (at additional cost) to learn about the region’s tea-making heritage. In the evening, head back to the resort.

    Munnar - Alleppy (House boat) - (230 kms, 5hrs)

    After breakfast, check out and drive to Alleppey, the heart of Kerala’s backwaters. On arrival, board your traditional houseboat, locally known as a Kettuvallam — a beautifully crafted wooden boat tied together with coir ropes and topped with a thatched roof.

    As the houseboat cruises through the serene backwaters, take in the peaceful surroundings of interconnected lakes, canals, and lagoons. Alleppey holds a special place on Kerala’s tourist map, especially with the vast paddy fields of Kuttanad, often called the Rice Bowl of Kerala. The scenic views of lush green fields and village life along the waterways create a truly relaxing experience.

    Enjoy freshly prepared meals onboard, including lunch and dinner. Spend the night on the houseboat, gently anchored amidst the calm backwaters of Alleppey.

    After breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and proceed to Kumarakom, a charming backwater destination often referred to as the Venice of the East.     Kerala is well known for its authentic Ayurvedic therapies, and you may choose to experience a rejuvenating treatment at the resort (optional, at additional cost). On arrival, check into your hotel and relax. The rest of the day is at leisure to unwind or enjoy the resort facilities.

    Kumarakom

    After breakfast, head out to visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary (entry fees applicable as per actual), a peaceful haven for bird lovers spread across approximately 15 acres and managed by the Government of Kerala. The sanctuary is home to a variety of resident and migratory birds. Species such as the Siberian crane, egret, heron, waterfowl, ducks, moorhens, and kingfisher are commonly spotted here, especially during migratory seasons.

    Later in the afternoon, you may choose to relax with an authentic Kerala Ayurvedic massage at your own expense, known for its rejuvenating and therapeutic benefits.
