Srinagar - Sonmarg - Srinagar (82km / 2Hour 50Min approx)

Sightseeings Covered Sind Valley, Sonmarg, Thajiwas Glacier, Gadsar & Satsar Lakes

Morning, after breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Sonmarg (Meadow of Gold). On the way, enjoy the scenic beauty of Sind Valley. Sonmarg is situated at a height of 2,690 meters above sea level, and the blooming valley has been chiselled over the ages by the mighty Indus River. Major trekking routes begin from here, and Gadsar and Satsar Lakes are located on the periphery of Sonmarg. The route offers sheer scenic splendour, with metalled roads snaking through massive mountains laden with firs and forests.

Arrive at Sonmarg and visit Thajiwas Glacier, where snow remains throughout the year. In the late afternoon, return to Srinagar.

Morning, after breakfast, drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers), situated at a height of 8,800 feet above sea level. Here, you will witness the natural beauty of Kashmir laid out like a doll’s village. Gulmarg was a favorite hunting spot of the British in summer, and the village still has old-fashioned hotels and shops. It also has the highest 18-hole golf course in the world and has developed into a ski resort during winter.

Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Sightseeings Covered Gulmarg Gondola Ride, Kongdoori Station, Khilanmarg, Pony Ride

After breakfast, the day is free for leisure. You can enjoy Gulmarg activities at your own cost. Take the famous Gulmarg Gondola Ride (cable car) – Asia’s highest and longest cable car. It’s a two-stage ropeway: the first stage transfers from Gulmarg to Kongdoori Station, and the second stage takes skiers to a height of 3,747 m (12,293 ft). The gondola operates from 10 AM to 5 PM, depending on weather conditions at both stages.

Return in the afternoon to enjoy pony rides, stroll around the area, or visit Khilanmarg, a nearby picnic spot and fragrant valley full of color and charm.

Day 05 :

Gulmarg – Pahalgam (137 km / 3 hrs 33 min approx)

Morning, after breakfast, drive to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds). Enroute, visit Pampore, famous for its saffron fields, continue your drive and visit the Cricket Bat Factory and Apple Orchards.

Pahalgam is an idyllic resort located on the banks of the Lidder and Sheshnag Rivers. It serves as the base for several treks in the region and the annual pilgrimage to the Holy Cave Shrine of Amarnath. The surroundings are perfect for relaxation and leisure in the true spirit of a traditional hill resort.

On arrival, transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, one can opt to visit Basarun Valley by pony (at additional cost), a large grassy meadow with small rolling hills. It is an eye-catching meadow and an ideal campsite for trekkers heading further to Tulian Lake.

Day 06 :

Pahalgam

Sightseeings Covered Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, Chandanwari, Pahalgam Mall Road

Morning, after breakfast, visit Aru Valley, popular for its beautiful meadows, peaceful environment, and scenic beauty. The village also serves as a base camp for trekkers heading to Kolahoi Glacier.

After that, proceed to Betaab Valley, named after the film Betaab. The valley is surrounded by lush green meadows, snow-capped mountains, and dense forests. Later, visit Chandanwari, the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra, before driving back to Pahalgam.

Rest of the day is free for personal activities. You can also enjoy a stroll along Pahalgam Mall Road.

Day 07 :

Pahalgam – Srinagar (90 km / 2 hrs 40 min approx)

Sightseeings Covered Shankaracharya Temple, Mughal Gardens (Nishat & Shalimar), Chashma Shahi, Hazratbal Mosque, Dal Lake Shikara Ride, Floating Gardens, Lotus Gardens, Vegetable Gardens, Handicraft Centres

After breakfast, drive to Srinagar. On arrival, enjoy a local sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit Shankaracharya Temple, followed by the famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat (Garden of Pleasure) overlooking the emerald waters of Dal Lake, and then Shalimar (Garden of Love). Each garden is more beautiful than the one before.

Walk along the terraced flower beds, past fountains and marble pavilions, with snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas in view. Visit Chashma Shahi (Royal Spring) and Hazratbal Mosque.

In the evening, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, exploring Floating Gardens, Lotus Gardens, Vegetable Gardens, and backwaters via canals. Also, pay a visit to handicraft centres for paper-mâché and wood carving.

When there is snow on the roads , the common car cannot go up to Gulmarg town due to snow so a snow car ( chain car ) needs to be hired by guest (at optional cost) to reach to the hotel.

In Kashmir there are places like Zero Point in Sonmarg , Gulmarg town , Drunk waterfall where union car needs to be hired .
