This 5 Nights / 6 Days Kerala tour by Kangaroo Travels starts from Kochi and takes you through the beautiful destinations of Munnar, Thekkady, and Alleppey. The journey includes exploring the scenic tea plantations and misty hills of Munnar, experiencing wildlife and spice plantations in Thekkady at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, and enjoying a relaxing houseboat cruise in the famous backwaters of Alleppey. Itinerary
Arrive at Bangalore Airport, where you will be welcomed by our representative and proceed towards Mysore.
Mysore, located in the state of Karnataka, was the capital city of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1956. Because of its royal heritage, the city is known for its rich culture, impressive architecture, and historical significance. Mysore is often regarded as one of the most culturally vibrant cities in Karnataka and is also widely known as a popular destination for yoga and traditional learning.
En route, visit Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, Srirangapatna. Also known as Daria Daulat Bagh, this palace houses Tipu Sultan’s Museum on the ground floor. The palace is a beautiful example of Indo-Islamic architecture and is built entirely using teak wood, giving it a unique and elegant appearance. The structure is known for its artistic interiors and historical importance, making it one of the most interesting attractions to visit in the region.
Timings: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM on weekdays, and 08:30 AM – 5:30 PM on Sundays

After reaching Mysore, check in to the hotel. After freshening up, proceed to visit the famous Brindavan Gardens.
Located about 12 km west of Mysore city, the Brindavan Gardens are situated at the base of the Krishnarajasagara Dam on the Cauvery River. The gardens were completed in 1932 and spread across more than 60 acres. Known for their beautifully maintained lawns, trimmed grass, vibrant flower beds, and well-shaped topiaries, the gardens offer a peaceful and scenic environment. The gazebos and pathways add to the charm of the place. It is recommended to visit the gardens in the evening to enjoy the famous musical fountain show, which is one of the main attractions here.
Later return to the hotel.

Today morning after breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Mysore Palace. Later, continue the journey towards Wayanad.
Mysore Palace:
Mysore Palace is known as one of the finest examples of Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture in India. The palace has a long history and has changed hands several times since it was originally built in the 14th century. Today, it serves as the residence of the Wodeyar royal family of Mysore. With its grand structure, intricate designs, and royal heritage, the palace remains one of the most iconic landmarks of Mysore and attracts visitors from around the world.
After the visit, proceed towards Wayanad, a beautiful hill district in Kerala known for its lush greenery, forests, and scenic landscapes.
On arrival in Wayanad, visit Banasura Sagar Dam. This is the largest earth dam in India and the second largest in Asia. The topography of the area is such that several small islands are formed upstream when the dam is full. These islands, set against the backdrop of the Banasura Hills, create a breathtaking and mesmerizing view for visitors. The surroundings are extremely scenic, and travelers can also enjoy adventure activities like zip-lining, zorbing, speed boat rides, and coracle rides here (activities available at additional cost).

Next, visit Pookode Lake, one of the most beautiful freshwater lakes in the region. The lake is uniquely shaped like the map of India, which was identified by geographical experts. Surrounded by dense forests and rolling hills, the peaceful environment makes it a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.
Later proceed to Lakkidi View Point, a charming hamlet located in the hills of Wayanad. The viewpoint lies along a hairpin bend on the mountain road and offers spectacular panoramic views of the valley. Covered with lush green forests on all sides, the scenery from this point is truly captivating and often leaves visitors mesmerized by the natural beauty of Wayanad.

Today morning after breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Wayanad. Depending on time and distance between the attractions, any two sets of sightseeing places can be visited, such as Meenmutty Waterfalls or Banasura Sagar Dam (if not visited earlier) or Edakkal Caves and Soochipara Waterfalls, as these locations are spread across different areas of Wayanad.
Meenmutty Waterfalls:
Meenmutty Waterfalls is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Wayanad. It is a three-tiered waterfall cascading down the rocky hills, offering a breathtaking view of nature. Reaching the falls requires a scenic trek through lush green forests, making it a thrilling experience for adventure lovers. The sound of the water crashing down the rocks along with the surrounding greenery creates a truly mesmerizing atmosphere.
Edakkal Caves:
Edakkal Caves are well known for their ancient pictorial carvings and cave paintings, believed to date back to 6000 BC. These carvings are considered one of the most significant archaeological findings in India. Soochipara Waterfalls:

The region is known for its breathtaking landscapes, dense forests, and the serene backwaters of the Kabini River, which create a perfect setting for a relaxing and refreshing getaway. The area is also well known for its rich wildlife and natural beauty, making it a popular destination for travelers seeking a close connection with nature.
On arrival at Kabini, check in to the hotel and relax. In the evening, you may choose to enjoy a canter or jeep safari in the nearby forest area to experience the wildlife and natural surroundings (available at additional cost). Alternatively, you can visit the Kabini Dam or simply spend a peaceful evening enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the resort.

First visit Bangalore Palace, one of the most majestic attractions in the city. The palace is spread over an area of 45,000 acres and showcases a beautiful blend of Indian, Scottish, and Gothic architectural styles. The structure features Roman arches, elegant pillars, and vine-covered walls that enhance its royal appearance. Inside the palace, visitors can explore 35 magnificent rooms decorated with carved wooden walls, fountains, stained glass windows, huge chandeliers, and paintings by renowned artists such as Raja Ravi Varma. One of the most unique attractions here is the mother-of-pearl studded dining table that once belonged to the Diwan of Mysore.
Later proceed to visit Vidhan Soudha, one of the most iconic landmarks in Bangalore. This grand building is often referred to as the “Taj Mahal of South India” because of its impressive architecture and grandeur. It is also the largest legislative building in India. The design of the structure reflects a combination of Dravidian, Rajasthani, South Indian, and Indo-Saracenic architectural styles. The building features beautifully carved granite pillars, walls, and domes, while the surroundings are adorned with lush gardens, fountains, and colorful flowers.

Next visit Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, a beautifully landscaped garden spread over 96 hectares. It is home to over 1,800 species of plants and trees from around the world. The garden was originally commissioned in 1760 by the famous ruler Hyder Ali. Early morning visits are ideal here as visitors can also spot many varieties of birds living in the garden.
Later visit the famous ISKCON Temple, known for its magnificent and spiritual ambiance. The temple complex features a gold-plated flag post, intricate stone carvings, fountains, waterfalls, arches, flowering gardens, and a large amphitheatre. Visitors can also explore the Vedic Museum and exhibitions within the temple premises. The temple regularly hosts devotional songs, recitals, prayer sessions, and lectures, offering a peaceful spiritual experience.
