Upon your arrival at Bangalore Airport, you will be met by our representative and assisted with your transfer to Mysore. Historically, the capital of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1956, this city remains the cultural soul of Karnataka. Known as a “Royal City,” Mysore is celebrated for its majestic architecture, rich heritage, and its global reputation as a premier haven for Yoga.

On your way to Mysore, you will stop at Srirangapatna to visit Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, known as Daria Daulat Bagh (“Wealth of the Sea”). This stunning structure, set amidst beautiful gardens, looks like a scene from a grand Bollywood film. Built entirely of teak wood, it serves as a masterclass in Indo-Islamic architecture. The ground floor houses a museum featuring murals, sketches, and artifacts from the era of the “Tiger of Mysore.” The palace is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays and 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on Sundays, with a nominal entry fee of INR 15 for Indians and INR 200 for foreign nationals.

Upon reaching Mysore, check into your hotel and take a moment to freshen up. In the evening, you will visit the famous Brindavan Gardens, located at the foot of the Krishnarajasagara Dam across the Cauvery River. Completed in 1932, these sprawling 60-acre terrace gardens are meticulously maintained, featuring perfectly manicured lawns, vibrant flower beds, and ornate gazebos. The highlight of the visit is the Musical Fountain, where the water “dances” to synchronized lights and music—a must-see spectacle as the day ends.

Following the palace tour, embark on a scenic drive toward the green paradise of Wayanad. Upon arrival, your first stop is the Banasura Sagar Dam, India’s largest earth dam and the second largest in Asia. Set against the majestic Banasura Hill, the reservoir creates a hypnotizing landscape of tiny islands. It is a hub for adventure seekers, offering activities like zip-lining, speed boating, and traditional coracle rides.

Next, visit the serene Pookode Lake, a natural freshwater lake nestled among evergreen forests. Interestingly, the lake’s aerial view is said to resemble the map of India. You can enjoy a peaceful boat ride here or walk along the pathway to soak in the tranquility. Continue to the Lakkidi View Point, often called the “Gateway of Wayanad.” Perched at a high altitude with a bird’s-eye view of the deep valleys and the winding nine hairpin bends of the Thamarassery Churam road, it is the perfect spot for photography.

Later in the evening, check into your hotel for a relaxing end to the day.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and prepare to witness the pinnacle of royal Karnataka at the Mysore Palace (also known as Amba Vilas Palace). Reaching the caves involves an invigorating 1.5 km uphill trek, where you are rewarded with the sight of “pictorial writings”—magnificent Stone Age carvings dating back to 6,000 BCE. As the only known site in India with such ancient petroglyphs, these caves offer a hauntingly beautiful glimpse into a long-lost civilization against a backdrop of sweeping valley views.

The adventure continues as you head toward the thundering cascades of the region. You can choose to visit the Soochipara Waterfalls, also known as Sentinel Rock Falls, where a 2 km walk through dense deciduous forests leads you to a breathtaking three-tiered plunge. The needle-shaped falls crash into a natural pool that is perfect for a refreshing dip amidst the lush greenery. Alternatively, if you seek a more rugged experience, you can explore the Meenmutty Waterfalls. This massive three-tiered cascade requires a scenic trek through the thick jungle, offering thrilling visuals and a powerful display of nature’s force. Whether you are tracing ancient history in the caves or cooling off by the perennial falls, the day provides a perfect blend of adventure and serenity. As evening falls, you will return to your hotel to relax and enjoy a quiet dinner.

Located on the southern fringes of the Nagarahole National Park, Kabini was once the private hunting ground of the Mysore Maharajas. Upon arrival, check into your riverside resort and settle in. For your afternoon, you have several exciting options to explore this wilderness:

• Jungle Safari (Optional): Head out for an evening safari into Nagarahole National Park. You can choose a Canter (Bus) Safari (approx. INR 700–1,200) or a more private Jeep Safari (approx. INR 2,800) to increase your chances of spotting the elusive big cats and diverse herbivores. Safaris typically run from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
• Kabini Dam & Backwaters: If you prefer a more relaxed evening, visit the Kabini Dam. Built in 1974, it is an engineering marvel that offers a peaceful viewpoint of the vast reservoir. The surrounding backwaters are a birdwatcher’s paradise, especially during sunset when the sky reflects off the crystal-clear water.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to settle in. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure—you might choose to take a stroll through the bustling local markets, visit a famous pub on MG Road, or simply relax and soak in the city’s energetic atmosphere.

Your final day begins with a comprehensive tour of Bangalore’s most iconic landmarks, blending royal history, political importance, and spiritual serenity. After an early breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and begin your city exploration:

• Bangalore Palace: Step into a world of royal opulence at this 19th-century masterpiece. Spread over a vast 450-acre estate, the palace architecture is a stunning blend of Tudor, Scottish, and Gothic styles, featuring fortified towers and vine-covered walls inspired by Windsor Castle. Inside, you can explore 35 ornate rooms filled with Roman arches, stained-glass windows, and massive chandeliers.
