Srinagar – Sonamarg – Srinagar (82 Kms / 2 Hrs 50 Min Approx.)

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, also known as the Meadow of Gold. En route, enjoy the scenic beauty of the Sind River valley. Sonamarg, situated at 2690 Mts above sea level, is a blooming valley shaped by the mighty Indus River and serves as the starting point for major trekking routes. The area is surrounded by two pristine lakes, Gadsar and Satsar, and the roads wind through majestic mountains covered with dense fir and pine forests. On arrival, visit the Thajiwas Glacier, where snow persists throughout the year. In the late afternoon, return to Srinagar.

Srinagar – Gulmarg (52 Kms / 1 Hr 35 Min Approx.)

After breakfast, drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg, famously known as the Meadow of Flowers, situated at an altitude of 8,800 ft above sea level. Gulmarg is renowned for its natural beauty, charming village setting resembling a doll’s village, and its historical significance as a favorite summer hunting retreat for the British, evident from old-fashioned hotels and shops in the village. It also features the world’s highest 18-hole golf course and transforms into a popular ski resort during winter. On arrival, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the surroundings.

After breakfast, the day is free for leisure to enjoy Gulmarg activities at your own cost. Guests can opt for the famous Gondola Ride (Cable Car), Asia’s highest and longest cable car, which operates in two stages: the first stage from Gulmarg to Kongdoori Station, and the second stage taking skiers to a height of 3,747 Mts (12,293 Ft). Advance online booking is recommended, and operations run from 10 AM to 5 PM, depending on weather conditions. In the afternoon, enjoy a pony ride, take a leisurely walk around the area, or visit Khilanmarg, a fragrant valley full of colors and charm.

Next, visit Betab Valley, named after the film Betab, surrounded by lush green meadows, snow-capped mountains, and dense forests. Later, proceed to Chandanwari, the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra. After breakfast, drive from Pahalgam to Srinagar. On arrival, proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit the Shankaracharya Temple, followed by the famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure) overlooking the crystal-clear emerald waters of Dal Lake, and Shalimar Bagh (Garden of Love). Walk along terraced flower beds, marble pavilions, fountains, and enjoy views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Also visit Chashma Shahi and Hazratbal Mosque. In the evening, enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake, exploring floating gardens, lotus gardens, vegetable gardens, and backwaters through canals. Also visit local paper-mâché and wood carving handicraft centers.

When there is snow on the roads , the common car cannot go up to Gulmarg town due to snow so a snow car ( chain car ) needs to be hired by guest (at optional cost) to reach to the hotel.

In Kashmir there are places like Zero Point in Sonmarg , Gulmarg town , Drunk waterfall where union car needs to be hired
