Day 01 :

Paro Airport (PBH) - Enroute Sightseeing - Thimphu

Sightseeings Covered Tamchog Lhakhang (Iron Bridge), Chuzom (Confluence of Thimphu & Paro Rivers)

Upon arrival at Paro Airport (PBH), complete your visa and permit formalities, after which you will be warmly welcomed by our Bhutan representative. You will then be assisted with your transfer to Thimphu, the picturesque capital city of Bhutan.

En route, enjoy a scenic drive through beautiful mountain landscapes with a stop at Tamchog Lhakhang (Iron Bridge), a historic temple known for its traditional iron chain bridge. Later, take a photo break at Chuzom (Confluence), the meeting point of the Thimphu River (Wong Chu) and the Paro River (Pa Chu), offering a stunning natural backdrop.

Day 02 :

Thimphu - Full Day Local sightseeing - Thimphu Thimphu (2320 Mts / 7611 Ft)

Sightseeings Covered Sangaygang View Point (BBS Tower), Buddha Point, Institute for Zorig Chusum, Textiles Museum, Post Office, Handicrafts Shops, Zangthopelri Lhakhang, Simply Bhutan, Motithang Takin Preservation Centre

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Thimphu. Visit Sangaygang View Point (BBS Tower), located at an elevation of 2865 Mts / 9397 Fts, offering a beautiful panoramic view of the entire Thimphu city. Later, visit Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodong), followed by the Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Art & Craft School) (Entrance fee: INR 100 approx per person; closed on Saturday, Sunday, National Holidays & during Summer and Winter Vacations).

Continue to the Textiles Museum (Entrance fee: INR 500 approx per person), then visit the Post Office (Entrance fee: INR 250 approx per person) and explore the Handicrafts Shops (closed on Saturday, Sunday & National Holidays). Later, visit Zangthopelri Lhakhang (Monastery), Simply Bhutan (Entrance fee: INR 1000 approx per person; closed on National Holidays) and Motithang Takin Preservation Centre (Entrance fee: INR 300 approx per person; closed every Monday).

After sightseeing, return to the hotel.

Day 03 :

Thimphu - Punakha Local Sightseeing - Punakha / Wangdi

Sightseeings Covered Dochu La Pass

After a leisurely breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive from Thimphu to Punakha / Wangdi, the last town on the highway before entering Central Bhutan. The journey takes you over the scenic Dochu La Pass (3080 Mts / 10102 Ft), offering breathtaking views of the Bhutanese mountain ranges. On arrival, the afternoon and evening are at leisure to relax and unwind.

Overnight stay at the hotel in Punakha / Wangdi.

Day 04 :

Punakha / Wangdi - Punakha Local Sightseeing - Punakha / Wangdi

Sightseeings Covered Punakha Dzong, Suspension Bridge, Chimi Lhakhang / Gangtey & Phobjikha Valley, Black Necked Crane Information Centre, Gangtey Goempa

After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing of Punakha, visiting Punakha Dzong (Entrance fee: INR 500 approx per person), followed by the Suspension Bridge, and then proceed to Chimi Lhakhang (Monastery) (Entrance fee: INR 1000 approx per person).

Guests may also opt for White Water Rafting on the Punakha River on a direct payment basis. (Guests opting for rafting must carry one extra set of clothes.) Later, return to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdi.

Punakha / Wangdi – Excursion to Gangtey / Phobjikha Valley – Punakha / Wangdi
Gangtey / Phobjikha Valley (3000 Mts / 9845 Ft, 85 Kms / approx. 03 to 3½ hrs one-way drive)

Start early for a full-day excursion to Gangtey & Phobjikha Valley, one of the most scenic valleys of Bhutan. Visit the Black Necked Crane Information Centre (Entrance fee: INR 200 approx per person) and Gangtey Goempa (Monastery). Later, drive back to Punakha / Wangdi.

Punakha / Wangdi via Lamperi - Paro

Sightseeings Covered Dochu La Pass, Royal Botanical Garden (Lamperi)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for the drive from Punakha / Wangdi to Paro. En route, stop at Dochu La Pass and at Lamperi to visit the Royal Botanical Garden (Entrance fee: INR 100 approx per person). On arrival in Paro, check in to the hotel.

Day 06 :

Paro - Full day Local Sightseeing - Paro

Sightseeings Covered Dungtse Lhakhang, Bird Eye View Point, Ta Dzong (National Museum), Rinpung Dzong, Kichu Lhakhang / Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery)

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Paro, covering Dungtse Lhakhang, followed by a stop at the Bird Eye View Point, from where the picturesque Paro Valley and Paro International Airport can be seen (ideal time: 10:00 – 11:00 AM). Later, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) (Entrance fee: INR 500 approx per person; closed on National Holidays), Rinpung Dzong (Entrance fee: INR 1000 approx per person) and Kichu Lhakhang (Entrance fee: INR 500 approx per person). After sightseeing, return to the hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Paro.

Paro – Hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) – Paro
Start early for a day hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) (Entrance fee: INR 1000 approx per person). The uphill hike takes approximately 2½ to 3 hours one way, depending on guest fitness, through pine forests. Guests who are unable to reach the top can hike up to the cafeteria point, which takes about 1 to 1½ hours one way. After completing the hike, return to the base point, from where the vehicle will transfer you back to the hotel.

Day 07 :

Paro - Excursion to Haa Valley - Paro

Sightseeings Covered Chele-la Pass, Haa Dzong, Lhakhang Karpo, Lhakhang Nagpo, Wangchulo Dzong

After an early breakfast, start a full-day excursion to Haa Valley via Chele-la Pass (3988 Mts / 13080 Ft). In Haa, visit Haa Dzong, Lhakhang Karpo, Lhakhang Nagpo, and Wangchulo Dzong. Depending on weather, road conditions, and time, the Haa excursion can be approached either via Chele-la Pass or from the Chozum side. Later, drive back to Paro.

Day 08 :

Paro - Paro Airport (PBH)

Sightseeings Covered Transfer to Paro Airport

After enjoying your final breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed with the checkout formalities. You will then be transferred from Paro to Paro Airport (PBH) for your onward flight connection. The journey to the airport covers approximately 6 Kms and takes about 20 to 30 minutes by road, situated at an altitude of 2200 Mts / 7216 Fts.
